Charming Old 1953 Morris Minor splitscreen. This car starts runs and drives very very well, has a fair bit Patina and is ready to be used. If you want a show winner this is not it. If you want a good useable example with bags of charm then this old girl might be the one. Its 70 years old and we have the V5 here. The registration number appears to be transferable. There are no notes on the V5 to say its not. There are a pair of spare rear wings with the car and some small spare parts in the boot. The car has had 8 previous owners and is showing 57000 miles. 

 

Body - Solid old car underneath. Its had repairs over the years but appears solid. Paintwork is a bit worn and theres probably a mark or scratch on every panel but it just adds to the character. This is a car you can park anywhere without worrying too much about it. Few minor rust bubbles but generally a very solid old survivor car.

 

Mechanics - Car was fully recommisioned a few years back. It starts first turn every time and drives really well. Its running electronic ignition. Brakes and clutch are good. Steering feels tight and precise . Its been converted to normal indicators rather than the semaphore. Very good oil pressure. This car runs and drives better than cars  at 3 or 4 times the price. Speedo doesnt work and the needle is stuck round at 80 mph. Possibly a bit optimistic to think its done that speed but maybe granny was a bit of a tarmac terrorist. Driver side window wiper also doesnt work. Passenger side one does. This will need sorting.  

 

Interior - Looks all original apart from driver seat bases. Small rip on rear seat and drivers seat is needing repaired on the back.....or just leave it as it is as its in charactyer with the rest of the car.

 

Wheels - Standard steels with original hubcaps.
